Guidelines for Use

Lanmark Controls Inc., is our TRADE NAME, or name under which we conduct business, and, when used in that context, never requires the ® or ™ designation. Lanmark Controls Inc. is a noun. When referring to Lanmark as a company name, with or without the "Inc." do not include a trademark designation.

Correct: Lanmark introduced a new laser technology
Incorrect: Lanmark® introduced a new laser technology

Correct: Lanmark Controls Inc. is a leader in laser marking software technologies.
Incorrect: Lanmark Controls®, Inc. is a leader in laser marking software technologies.

Use the ® to indicate Lanmark's fully registered trademarks and the ™ to indicate our claimed trademarks. Please make the trademark symbol a superscript (® or ™) and position it immediately after the trademark to which it applies (Lanmark WinLase® software).

Trademarks are adjectives. The registered Lanmark trademark is used to distinguish products or other relevant nouns. "Lanmark" when followed by a product name or other noun is a registered trademark and should be designated with the ® (for example, Lanmark WinLase®).
