| Electrical Requirements
The LEC-1 product has been specifically
designed to function as a standalone or "embedded" controller
within laser scanning systems. This enables the customer to integrate
the card into the most suitable system location, wihtout having to rely
on installation in a PC.
Hardware
Features
- Dual processor architecture
- ARM processor to handle 10/100 Base-T Ethernet communication and system
software
- FPGA/SoC for on-board real-time processing of vectors and laser control
- Complete independent control over all laser output signals
- Direct jumper configurable analog outputs for 2- or 3-axis scanning
heads.
- Industry standard XY/2-100 protocol outputs for 2- or 3-axis scanning
heads
- 16-bit positional command resolution
- 10 micro-second minimum step period
- Software selectable laser signal polarity and timing - Requires no
jumpers
- 10/100 Ethernet port
- (1) 12-bit +1-10 VDC analog output channel for laser power control
- (1) 8-bit opto-isolated output port for laser power control
- (4) IN, (4) OUT opto-isolated ports for external equipment control
- (4) INTERLOCK opto-isolated input ports
- (2) USB host ports for peripheral I/O and/or FLASH disk access
- (1) RS-232 serial port for User Interface Pendant or peripheral I/O
- 32MB on-board FLASH storage for local jobs
