This Policy may change from time to time, so please check back periodically.

This Privacy Policy, including any changes we make from time to time, applies to all of our websites, products and services including without limitation those available under the domain and sub-domains of lanmarkcontrols.com and www.lanmarksoftware.com. By visiting our websites or using our products or services you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third party companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals whom we do not employ or manage, including any third parties to whom we may disclose user information as provided in this Privacy Policy.
What information does Lanmark collect from you?
Our primary goal in collecting information is to provide you with efficient and effective service while using our websites, products or services. Lanmark collects two different types of information about its visitors: Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information.
Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) is information that specifically identifies who you are. We request PII when you order a product or service, register a product, fill out surveys, create a user account or correspond with us. This information might include your name, mailing address, telephone number or e-mail address. This might also include your credit card number and card security code (also called CVV) and the expiration date, if you purchase any Lanmark products or services. We transmit your entire credit card information to the appropriate credit card company in an encrypted format during order processing for payment processing.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information (“NPII”) is information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. We gather this information each time you access our websites, download software, or use any products or services. The NPII is compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis, may include the Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) of the web site you visited just prior to accessing our website, the URL you go to after leaving our website, what browser you are using, platform type, your internet service provider, your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the Site, track a user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. You do not have to register with us before we can collect this anonymous information. A URL is the global address of documents and other resources on the World Wide Web. An IP address is an identifier for a computer or device on a Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (“TCP/IP”) network, such as the World Wide Web.
Networks use the TCP/IP protocol to route information based on the IP address of the destination. In other words, an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web, allowing Web servers to locate and identify your computer. Computers require IP addresses in order for users to communicate on the Internet, browse and shop.
Our websites may contain “cookies.” Cookies are bits of electronic information generated by web servers and may be stored on your hard drive when you visit a website on the Internet. Cookies are often used to differentiate users, store user preferences and track user trends in general. We may use cookies to improve the quality of our websites and to better understand how users interact with the Site. We do not use cookies to retrieve individual personally identifying information about you from your computer unless you knowingly and willingly provide such information. You can adjust your web browser security settings to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you disable the use of cookies in your web browser, some features of our websites may not function properly.
Lanmark may collect customer information in a number of ways, but the most common are during form submission, feedback submission, and product or service registration or download. In some instances, you may visit sections of our website or use some of our services without providing information to us. The information requested may vary depending on which website, product or service you are using or accessing.
We typically ask for your basic contact information, such as your name, title, company name, e-mail address, postal addresses, telephone numbers and the industry that you work in. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence or communication. Information on how you communicated with us may also be recorded and can include your e-mail address including country domain, the language you selected for viewing order forms or other documents, your browser type, the currency in which you viewed prices if such feature is available, your use of a secure or insecure Web page, the return e-mail address shown in any e-mail message from you, the return address on any envelope or facsimile number on any facsimile, or the telephone number from which you called.
In addition to the information we obtain at the initial stage of form submission, we may ask you for information at other times, such as when you make a purchase or use a service on a Lanmark website; when you participate in a contest, survey, or promotion; when you submit a listing for a website; or when you report a problem with one of our websites or services. In most cases, the more specific information you provide, the better we are able to personalize your Web experience.
Lanmark’s products may include software (“Software”) that contains technological measures designed to prevent its unlicensed or illegal use. The Software may contact Lanmark’s servers to verify the user’s license and send such information to Lanmark along with other information about the device, how and when the Software is used (e.g, date, time and frequency of use). Lanmark may use this information to validate the user’s license and to improve the Software and/or the updating process. Lanmark’s use of such information is subject to this Privacy Policy.
